Instead of wanting a love like Snape had for Lily, why not want a guy to love you AS MUCH as that? That would be sweet, and not the same kind as what Snape and Lily had. Because it’s  not as tragic.  If I had to pick , I’d rather have a love like James and Lily. Because that’s one where he would do a lot to make me love him, and he would protect me, and even in our final moments, do anything he could to keep me safe. It ended tragically, but I’d rather have that kind of love. One that was healthy and requited. One where I know where his loyalty lies. And we never had to live in agony without each other, and take it out on innocent people.

If you haven’t already gotten your ticket for Seminar, do it NOW! It was really fantastic! I knew Alan would be amazing as always but I wasn’t prepared for HOW amazing he really is. He more than lives up to his reputation on the stage. I can see why he loves it. He walks in a room and you can’t take your eyes off of him.

The rest of the cast was fantastic as well. I wasn’t sure what to expect going in as I have never seen a play before (only musicals). I was really pleasantly surprised. It was really funny and touching and I would highly recommend it to everyone.

I forced my sister to enter the facebook contest so between her and myself at least I’d have another shot. I can’t believe she actually won. We got there at 7 and waited around for about a half hour before they let us in.

It was a pretty packed house. There were also winners from Entertainment Weekly and some reporters and people who have made donations to some kid of theater charities and so on there as well.

I hauled my ass to the front and I don’t know how the hell I managed to pull it off but I got front row center. I could reach my hand out and touch the stage thats how close I was.

I don’t think I’ll ever manage to see a show in any row other than front again lol. I felt like I was on the stage with them. Usually when people are in front of you it kind of takes you out of the moment but that didn’t happen at all.

After we headed to the door and thankfully they all came out fairly soon after. I met Hettienne Park first and she was really super sweet. Then Jerry came out and was also really nice. Finally Alan came out and people swarmed of course but I still got to talk to him and told him how great the play was and he thanked me for coming and was glad I enjoyed it. Seriously one of the highlights of my year! I still can’t believe I met DanRad and Alan in the same year.

Win Tickets to Seminar’s Broadway Dress Rehearsal!

tumble-with-alan-rickman:

Producers of Seminar have announced a special contest for tickets to the exclusive final dress rehearsal of the upcoming Broadway play by Theresa Rebeck.

To enter, visit Seminar’s Facebook fan page. “Like” the page and submit a name and email address. Entries will be accepted through Oct. 24 at 3 PM. Twenty winners will each receive a pair of tickets to see the exclusive final dress rehearsal of Seminar, held Oct. 26 at 8 PM at The Golden Theatre. Winning entries will be selected at random.

Directed by Obie Award winner Sam Gold (Circle Mirror Transformation,The AliensTigers Be StillKinThe Coward), Seminar will star Tony Award nominee Alan Rickman (Private LivesLes Liaisons Dangereuses) as a world-famous writer with power over young scribes in his class. The cast also includes Tony nominee Lily Rabe (The Merchant of Venice), Jerry O’Connell, Hettienne Park and Hamish Linklater.

Seminar, according to the producers, is about “four young writers who are thrilled to be participating in a private seminar taught by the brilliant but unpredictable Leonard (Rickman), an international literary legend. But as Leonard deems some students more promising than others, tensions arise. Sex is used as a weapon, alliances are made and broken, and it’s not just the wordplay that turns vicious…”
